About NMBA

NMBA supports EVERY business across the Northern Midlands municipality with free and paid memberships – from individual farmers, retailers, trades and new businesses, right up to our largest employers.

The NMBA Board has consulted widely with the local business community and developed four strategic goals to meet the needs of the widest variety of local businesses and deliver programs and benefits to these businesses.

As a not-for-profit organisation with a volunteer Board and part-time CEO, NMBA cannot deliver these programs by itself and has partnered with key organisations to help it make these benefits available to all businesses across the Northern Midlands municipality – with the vast majority being at no cost.

NMBA 5 Year Strategic Plan

NMBA has developed a comprehensive 2023-2028 Strategic Plan with the vision of the Northern Midlands region to be the most connected, resilient, and innovative business community in Tasmania.

The stated Purpose of NMBA in the Strategic Plan is for the Northern Midlands Business Association is to use its local knowledge, influence, and connections so the Northern Midlands business community continues to thrive.

2023 Business Plan priorities:

The Northern Midlands Business Association coordinates an extensive business plan of initiatives, projects and activities. As well as its standard program of supporting, communications, and services to local businesses, the following priority programs are being conducted in 2022:
